As SiC devices allows the converters to operate at higher frequencies, size of passive elements can be reduced. But my question here is if size of inductor or capacitor is reduced, what about the current and voltage stresses as they have to store the same amount of energy. The high frequencies only reduces the amount of current and voltage ripples, but the average values are same. For the same energy storage, what is the impact on reduced size passive elements?
