In view of "debris" from projects funded in the past and material objects in present and future actively funded projects, will this growing accumulation of technologically generated objects that will be orbiting Earth have any environmental impact? Can Earth be "enhanced" by manufactured "debris rings" comparable to Saturn's aesthetically lovely rings, or not?

As we already know we have dodged the bullet thus far that no large object has stuck the earth causing serious damage although a few minor events have happened in the past. Many objects have burnt up during the reentry process. There is no telling if somehow a bunch of this debris should coalescence and form a larger mass?

The biggest environmental issue is that after a certain point, after a collision creates a cloud of fragments that then lead to more collisions, a runaway cascade begins that could pollute low-Earth orbit to the point of making it useless for centuries.
