What is the frequency of measurement in conductivity meter Model: Orion Star A212 (Thermo Fisher)? I searched the manual of this instrument but could not find it. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Which brings me to the assumption that conductivity/resistance measurement by this device follows the general approach: using DC. For resistance measurements, AC does not bring a significant advantage while bringing up additional "challenges".
If you want to make sure: attach an oscilloscope probe (10:1 recommended) in voltage mode and look at the display!
Oh :) A short www search found a reference to the Philips/Pye Unicam PW-9509 dating back to 1984. This can be considered "antique". I could not get much more data about this instrument. What is stated is that the AC measurement
What is stated is that the AC measurement minimizes/avoids polarization effects. Which is correct. On the other hand, "low-enough" voltages do not introduce significant polarization as well. There has been quite some development during the last 30+ years.
Anyway: to make sure, it is not too difficult to measure your instrument's excitation during measurement.
