Hello,

The problem seems similar to a charged sphere placed near to charged sheet. If you know the charge density then first calculate the Electric field at some point due to a small area elements and then calculate the coulomb force due to this E-field. After getting force due to a samll charged area element, you can integrate over the all area of surface..You will get the net force on the insulator charged particle..I think this is very simple electroststic problem.You may look at electrostatic physics book..I hope, You may solve this problem easily.
