I present here again with a problem relate to MoS2. I start to work on MoS2 so I have a lot of problems regarding lattice parameters, d-spacing, crystal structure, direct and indirect band gap and I am also more confused with UV-Visible, FT-IR, Raman spectra, because, I found different-different spectra. I have requested to all please help me regarding this problem.

In 1 T, 2 H and 3 R, the number represents the number of layers in the unit cell followed by letter denotes the symmetry as trigonal, hexagonal and rhombohedral.

1T, 2H and 3R is a classic designation for polytypes. MoS2 has a layered structure and the layers are shifted against each other. The number indicates the number of non-identical layers, the letter indicates the resulting symmetry, i.e. T = trigonal with hexagonal Bravaid lattice H= hexagonal, and R is rhomboedric. In diffraction patterns, polytypic manifestation is usually only insignificant, and this is for non-basal lines.
