Curriculum theory uses learning, teaching and assesment as integral compinents of curriculum design and implementation. To explain simply, learning is the acquisition of knowledge, skills and attitudes. Teaching is the faciliationnof learning through a deliberate and systematic apporach. Assesment is the process of measuring a student against learning outcomes or progression to achieve a goal.
According to curriculum learning teaching and assessment is the concern of a trained teacher. Learning is a complex process.
They can all be reinforced with different teaching /learning resources because they stimulate, motivate as well as focus learners' attention for a while during the instructional process.
Learning includes the practical side of the lesson. The hope of teaching is the method of conveying the idea to the learner. Evaluation is the knowledge of the outcome of the curriculum.
In designing curriculum, one vital component of whatever plan you design should include smart learning outcomes/objectives, then you identify content areas that need to be covered in the outcomes that you have identified then align all these with appropriate teaching-learning activities and assessment methods that will properly evaluate the outcomes that you have defined.
