I mean what is the timeline for crops like rice, wheat, potatoes or other crops in Asian countries? And also how many months they take to grow? And what is the amount of water crops need for irrigation?
I know these are easy and simple questions but after searching google I didn't get proper and sufficient information. Hope you would please help me directing some info or book or paper.

The timeline of crop like rice depend on the variety. For example in the case of MR220-CL2 Malaysian developed rice variety, the mean timeline from sowing to harvesting is about 95 days. Similarly, the water requirement differs depending on the cultural system (transplanting or direct seeding system) adopted by the farmers. But generally being higher for direct seeded rice, because of the need to reduce competition with weeds, which is achieved by maintaining some water level (8 - 15 cm) in the rice fields throughout the growing period.

Actually I need data for monthly varying water requirement per hectare land to calculate yearly irrigation pump load. I have seen from your publications that you have worked with energy content of the wetland paddy field. Could you please suggest me any book or paper where I can get the data of different plants monthly water requirement?
I know different variant of different plants need different amount of water. But I actually need an average estimation of monthly water requirement.
