What is the conventional number of a Research Objectives in postgraduate level research (Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Philosophy, or Master level)?

What could be a Standing Number of Research Objectives for a postgraduate research studies? I have been studying Thesis and Dissertation with different number of a research objectives. The least I observed is three (3) and the highest is eight (8).
