I am trying to construct a calibration curve on a new UV-Vis Spectrometer machine (T80+, PG Instruments Ltd).
But when I start by setting the parameters using K-Factor method (pressing Quantitative parameter F1), the following is being displayed:
Work mode: K-Factor
Wavelength: 660.0nm
Conc Unit : mg/L
Dark Current: Insert the black block
Hence, my question is targeting the meaning of the black block and how to insert it in a UV-Vis Spectrometer machine
I wonder if they mean insert an empty couvette to get the background reading?
