is this possible?

Diisopropylamine, 10.1 g (0.10 mole) , was dissolved in 500 ml of dry ether at 25°c. N-Chlorosuccinimide, 13.5 g (0.11 mole) , was slowly added and the mixture stirred for one hour in the dark. The mixture was cooled to 10°c and the succinimide removed by suction filtration. The ether solution was washed with 1 0 % hydrochloric acid and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate. Removal of the ether under vacuum left crude N-chlorodiisopropylamine, 12.5 g (0.09 moles), which was used without further purification.

I have been done this method , but I did not get a good result.
