Hope you have finished data collection. If yes writing results with the graphs and tables is the best way i practice. Hope you are not asking about the proposal writing. If proposals need to start with literature survey. But writing starts with objectives followed by questionnaire/instruments then methodology...
Thesis writing is not an easy task. It requires time and patience along with good writing skills.
Here are some steps which will help you to write the thesis
- The first step is to choose a good topic for the thesis related to your field of study.
- The second step is prepare a strong thesis statement highlighting the aims and objectives of your topic and what questions are you going to answer through your work.
Go through the research papers that have been published earlier on the same topic and find out what sections have not been covered on that topic.
- After that start collecting data related to the topic chosen by you for your thesis. Make note of the essential points. Prepare an outline of the whole work.
- Start writing the main body of the thesis while performing the research required for your work.
- After completing the work, give a good conclusion to your work. Give proper citation to all the sources from where you have taken reference.
- In order to make sure that the work done by you is perfect, review the whole work and perform the editing and proofreading. Let someone else proofread your work and get his feedback.
The first rule would be to write up drafts as you go along throughout your research - don't leave it all to the end. There will be to much to do, and you might lose sight of the structure of the whole.
If you have presented parts of your work at conferences or published some parts you have an idea of the kind of contribution your research is making in the field. Leave yourself enough time to ensure any graphs, charts etc. can be well produced. Write, check it out with friends, colleagues and your supervisor. Edit and edit until it reads well throughout and ensure that the reader can read the language you are using. Beware of gaps in your argument which are glaringly obvious to a reader or examiner but which you yourself could miss easily because you are so close to the work.
Dear Dr. Muhammad Sajid : According to me, your first step should be compiling all of your data in one folder. and make each chapter file separately. After that you can think about possible heading and subheading in each chapter. That will be useful for you to make a dummy structure of thesis. After that you can start write-up according to headings. Hope these tips will be useful for you. Best wishes for your thesis.
