I am specifically looking for a vector for TA cloning. I already have my PCR amplified insert. Ultimately, I am looking to clone this insert into a vector and have it all sequenced, but am not sure where to start for choosing a vector. One of my PCR inserts is 675bp and the other is 651bp.
Hi Gaby - you will succeed with any of the standard kits which sell around 100$ from all major companies - they are generally derivatives of each other, with ampicillin selection and blue white screening abilities.
some suitable kits include: InstaClone PCR kit (ThermoFisher K1213) or pgem-t easy cloning kit ( A1360). Good luck!
There are many systems like The pGEM®-T Easy Vector (Promega) TOPO-TA Vectors (Thermo Fisher Scientific), pMD20 & pMD19 (Clontech) and other. All of tchem will be good for your purpose.
