I was wondering which substances can be used as a tracers to check if vitamins are homogeneously distributed among the mixture (complete feed). Are there any methods that can be used to determine the homogeneity?
Assuming that you start with one (homogenous) premix of vitamins and minerals select one of them as marker. Take some 20 samples from the feed and analyse them for the marker content. The variation in results will tell you whether mixing has been done properly. Having proper procedures for feed preparation for each (type of) feed mill, will preclude largely the necessity of checking this.
Hello, kindly look for the usage of microtracers, colored iron particles, to determine the homogeneity of the feed additive on the mixers. There are a lot of articles that can be used as your protocol reference. This, in turn, can measure if your vitamins, even in smaller amounts, are evenly spread to your entire batch.
