Trying to define a climate variability baseline and wanted to know if there are best practices or common methods. I have about 50 years of climate data with maximum and minimum temperatures.
50-years analysis period is quite long and adequate. For climate variability using seasonal-mean or annual-mean data/index, you can get its interannual variability and decadal/interdecadal variability along with its relationships with global climate anomalies/phenomenon.
In addition, EOF modes and DFT/wavelet spectra are often used to learn the primary climate modes and its period.
If you want to relate the variation with climate change/global warming. Make sure to separate the variability caused by anthropogenic and natural influences.
Dear all i have temp and precip data and crop (area, yield, and production )data can we use india water portal (for temp and precip data as it freely available, or need imd .....but water portal does not have station wise result will affect or not i want do study state wise (india)analysis
