I'm working on geometric modelling of metallic foams, specifically Aluminum. I know there are different approaches to it, I will like to know the best method for effective FE analysis .
Please check material models (Different types of material cards ) supported in the solver your using , Software may support with solid elements & foam material model.
I am using Hyperworks and I dont know if it supports that. So I was thinking if I can model it in another software with the pore sizes and all then I just have to import it.
I work in metals 3d-printing, and for modelling and additive manufacturing of foams with randomized or ordered structure can be used Materialise Software like Magics. Or specifically for medical application (bio-shape foams) Mimics.
