I need to grow saffron under greenhouse condition for research purpose, so, does anyone know the best light condition based on needed light intensity (Lux) and wavelength spectrum?
If someone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Saffron likes light. The ideal conditions during flowering are 16 hour day length with day temperatures of 62°F and night temperatures of 53°F. After flowering the foliage grows best at 60 to 65°F, with 12 to 14 hours of light to keep enough photosynthesis going to bulk up the developing cormlets.
