I am in need of Ideas on How Cellulose rich materials from agricultural farms can be harnessed and converted. We have explored Alkaline and Acid hydrolysis and yet no optimum yield is obtained when compared to startchy substrate. Do anyone know another effective Cellulose de-polymerization technique?
This is a complex issue. What are you optimizing - sugar yield or ethanol yield? Both are affected by several factors, and you may not find a standardized work flow.
Thanks Praveen. Don't you think brix have a correlation with ethanol yield knowing that standardized typed cultures have a known bioenergetics?
Do you have a workflow for the two separate bioproduct?
Basically the byproduct need to give second preference however, now time is to develop low cost technology to utilize it in better manner.
