During Iron Ore sintering process wet granulation is done prior to sintering. Which is the best method to measure the size distribution of wet granules ?
Wet granules of Iron are highly unstable and likely to disintegrate during the image analysis. so the size and size distribution by image analysis may not be accurate.
Image analysis allows to determine the size of the granules. Example usage

Normally, liquid nitrogen is used to freeze the granules to keep them strong enough in the size analysis. This method is somewhere called as "frozen size analysis".
Thank you Mr. Congcong Yang for the valuable information. but even after Nitrogen quenching the size analysis can not be accurate because particles disintegrate with time.
Yes, it is true that granules disintegrate with time especially under the mechanic force. I think we can not avoid these experimental errors, but it is possible to decrease them to a acceptable level, for example by conducting frozen size analysis as soon as you can.
