I am doing my Master and looking for the best methodology to do a qualitative research on the applicability of the western management practices in the Middle East region . Is there any suggestion about the elements that I should examine during this study ? any publication related to this topic ? Thank you in advance.
Why not quantitative? no difference between the 2 world regions.
But a difference in the kind of construction: public works, residential construction etc. See my bibliography for instance on construction of appartments.
Mr. Willem Brauers, Thank you for your appreciated response, but how can I measure the applicability of Western management style in the Middle East using quantitative study ? may you please elaborate more ? what type of measurements can I examine by doing quantitative study ? I am trying to see if the western management style work in the Middle East or not, so different factors, such as people culture, will effect that.
Perhaps the article An Interpretive Comparison of Chinese and Western Conceptions of Relationships in Construction Project Management Work by Chen & Partington (2004) is helpful. I did not read it, but I happen to came across it recently.

Dear Zamaan, You could review those methodologies (Western management practices) or if possible examine the instruments and approaches as applied and adapt them to fit the particular Middle Eastern context. In so doing, this might entail and include renaming some of the questions, dropping some items not suited for the Middle Eastern context and even including some items where possible.
