What is the appropriate value of the polytropic index n in the case of protoplanetary disk?

I am working with protoplanetary structure with polytropic gas law.

Depends on the gas dustiness, transparency to radiation. Should vary from 1 to 1.5. Both those extremes ought to be considered.
