Dear Zahra Mousavi, the models in applied research has great significance in technology and development. These models helps in determining the effect of different control variables on the desired adsorption process. You should read this publication:

Valuable are, above all, reliable experimental data in the form of equilibrium curves (sorption isotherms) and kinetic curves. The description of equilibrium data is also valuable, using equations that have a physical meaning. The problem, however, is that these equations, in the majority referring to gas-solid systems, do not always work well in liquid-solid systems. It is different in the case of equations used to approximate individual kinetic curves. The most commonly used equations: exponential, hyperbolic, logarithmic and power equations are empirical equations that are difficult to associate with the given mechanisms of the adsorption process.
