I am trying to implement a potentiostat circuit as shown in the attached file. My doubt is, if I have to apply, say 0.4V to the cell, what is the ACTUAL input I need to apply?  I mean, what are the factors I need to consider such as open cell potential, iR drop, etc.? Is there any standard procedure to find out the effective input voltage to be applied so that 0.4V reaches to the cell? Or should the circuit be designed such that we apply directly 0.4V in the input.

Thanks in advance.
