PRA tools are quite effective to collect the data in focus groups through participatory approaches. It can be started with the simple tools first to gain the confidence. It is important to have supporters to facilitate and take notes. The facilitator needs to clearly explain the objectives and process of each PRA tool to the participants.
Participtory Rural Appraisal are effective tools to analyze rural development issues in many contexts, by making the people the subjects who not only provide data, but also are stakeholders that decide on development preferences and priotities. Applied with the right sentive approaches can help a lot to really identify those issues that people concern....
