First, download Cassandra either from Apache website or you can download the DataStax Community Edition. For ease of use, you should choose the community edition from DataStax.Make sure you have JDK installed.Install JDK/JRE 8 - Preferably the most stable version available and do the path setting.Install Python version 2.7(or latest version) – which is required by CQLSH and do the path setting.Install Cassandra from DataStax.After you finish installing, search Cassandra CQL Shell and run the Cassandra Shell. If you prefer a GUI over the CLI, download TablePlus for Windows.Now you can create a keyspace, tables, and write queries.If you have already installed python then no need to uninstall and reinstall it.Follow this it should work.Thanks.

Hi, thank you for your answer, I must say that I have Cassandra and JDK and python 3.6. but it seems there is still a problem, when I type 'Cassandra' in command prompmt I recieve this message: WARNING! Powershell script execution unavailable. Please use 'powershell Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted' on this user-account to run cassandra with fully featured functionality on this platform. Starting with legacy startup options Starting Cassandra Server Error occurred during initialization of VM Could not reserve enough space for 2097152KB object heap

I think your PS execution policy is Restricted so change to RemoteSigned or Unrestricted mode.

In "Administrator:Windows PowerCell" use below commands

PS C:\Windows\system32>Update-help

PS C:\Windows\system32>Get-ExecutionPolicy (press enter)

Restricted

PS C:\Windows\system32>Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned

then select Y

RemoteSigned

C:\Windows\system32 directory, and run the command

Set-ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted

Try this It will work.Thanks.

Sumanta Kumar Mandal Hi again, thank you for your guidance, I changed the mode into Unrestricted, but now there is still a problem with downloading and installing datastax community edition. I downloaded it from http://planetcassandra.org/cassandra

but the format of file is something like "tar.gz" that I cant extract it and use it on my windows 10. I even tested convertor to extract this format but wasnt successful.

Ok, plz change the mode to RemoteSigned and try again. If again its not work please let me know. Thanks.
