The storage modulus gives information about the amount of structure present in a material. It represents the energy stored in the elastic structure of the sample. If it is higher than the loss modulus the material can be regarded as mainly elastic, i.e. the phase shift is below 45°.
Higher storage modulus means higher energy storage capability of the material. Material flow recovery will be more than a smaller storage modulus value towards their original state after removing the applied force.
oung's modulus is referred to as tensile modulus, which is totally different material property other than the storage modulus. The storage modulus refers to how much energy was stored by the material when subjected to oscillating loads.
