What is intersublevel transition in semiconductors?

I know that interband transition is the transition of electrons from valence band to conduction band. However, i am not sure about what do we mean by intersublevel transition. I meet this word in this paper "Intersublevel Spectroscopy on Single InAs-Quantum Dots byTerahertz Near-Field Microscopy"
