If the grains in your polycrystal are micro-sized you should expect no changes in the Gap, unless the presence of possible defect states or small defect bands inside tha same Gap.
Instead, when grains are nano-sized (well below 100 nm) you could face an average larger Gap due to shrinkage of the VB and CB and to some carrier confinement.
