Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS): I would like to know if there is any Universal grade available. Does the API score vary from a country to a country; from a University to a University, etc.
API or PBAS is a grading system regulated by UGC only for Indian academician. In different countries it is known with different names. It can not vary (in India) in universities who follow the norms either UGC or AIU.

Mr. Rahul Kaurav, thanks for your crisp explaination. To my understanding, API grading system is not only used in India. As mentioned by your goodself, different countries use it to evaluate the research experience of professionals. I hope, someone who has experienced such an evaluation would throw light on the International grading available (if any).
API Score in joint publications: as per recent guidelines of ugc, there is 70% contribution to the first/corresponding/guide/ mentor and remaining 30% to other authors.
In high energy physics experiments, there is usually no first/corresponding author, every author has equal status and there are a lot of authors. There can be 100 authors, does that mean the credit point will get divided by 100? In fact for CERN experiments the number of authors can be more than 1000! This way high energy physicists will earn really less points! This system seems wrong in HEP context. Can anyone please shed some light on this? Thank you.
