In qualitative research, particularly in interpretative research tradition, researchers have been paying attention towards developing new analytical frameworks to guide their data generation techniques and its analysis. It seems to me that those who adopt inductive research approach (or mixed of both deductive and inductive) approach need to develop an analytical framework.

I am expecting some expert opinions/experiences of developing analytical framework for qualitative research. Answers could be framed around the following questions:

a. Why do qualitative researchers require to have analytical framework?

b. What are the procedures to develop an analytical framework? (why do not existing frameworks always fit into research?)

c. In ground-theory approach, to what extent does the influence of deductive approach remain dominant whilst developing a new analytical framework?

d. Any good source materials?
