Having said that, I agree with what Roy said. To me, the success of sustainability projects or programs depends on how the change gets managed. Change can pertain things like processes, products and most of all people's mindset on the way a firm produces value and causes impacts, not only for the customers but for the entire ecological and social ecosystem it operates within. There are several ways to prevent resistance. I'd start preventing resistance as much as possible by acting from the very beginning of a certain project, by disseminating why it is important to all the people in the organization, being open to feedback and flexibility and by setting a proper stakeholders' engagement, concurrent in all the phases of the project.
