Steps to install PowerMarker v3.25 on Windows computer:

Step 1:

To be able to install PowerMarker you will need an older version of .NET Framework file ( .NET Framework 1.1.4322). Please click the link below to download .NET Framework file https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=26 ("Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package")

Step 2:

For newer version of windows, it won’t allow you to install older version of .net framework file. To change that, go to Control Panel > Turn Windows Features on or off > check Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5.1 > OK

Step 3:

Install PowerMarker Package from the following link http://statgen.ncsu.edu/powermarker/downloads.htm ("Download PowerMarker and install it")

Step 4:

Once PowerMarker is installed, change your computer date settings to year 2015 January or earlier.

Step 5:

Run PowerMarker
