I fear that such complex (adduct) will decompose under the GC conditions. Lewis acid adducts are sentive to basic functions that may be present in the column film, and to water (hydrolysis.) What is the Lewis acid?

Lewis acid : Fe(III)

Ligand : DodecylBenzene sulfonate.

The sythesized complex is hydrophobic.

I suppose that this adduct or salt is not volatile enough for GC analysis.
