Examples I have seen include HER, ORR, and CO₂RR, but I’m curious to know:

  • Which reactions show reliable and interpretable behavior under RDE?
  • Are there limitations when applying RDE to multi-step reactions (e.g., N₂RR or NO₃RR)?
  • How useful is RDE in alkaline vs acidic media for comparing catalyst performance?
