I have made a concrete damage plasticity model of M30 grade concrete. But it is showing higher stress values than specified in concrete property. I am attaching the paper which I took as a reference. Can anyone tell me what may be the reason?
Could you please mention the stress level how much is higher than your reference paper. If it is not too much it could be related to the quality of mesh. the other point is if your are simulating the bending, therefore, you should read the stress level along the beam e.g. S11.
I have modelled a Post-tension shear wall where I have applied displacement controlled loading due to rocking behaviour of the wall is observed. But even if I have put properties of M30 grade concrete, the maximum stress generating in the concrete model is around 65Mpa. Why is it so?
Two possible reasons.
1) You are plotting nodes not integration points, so the stress can always be bigger, since it is only a visualization tool
2) You are plotting with average values, use non-average values.

As I as I know, the ultimate value you define is the uniaxial compressive strength.
For example, if the parameter of 1.16 is understood, you can answer the question.
