The slide is a thin section from the lower Cretaceous Yamama Formation in the Majnoon oilfield, Southern Iraq. The whole slide is represent a fossil from this era. I need to diagnose the fossil if that possible. The slide is 4X magnification.

I am not a micropaleontologist. But I have studied a huge amount of thin sections as sediment petrographer and mineralogist and apart from the scale bar I miss some more information on the carbonate (?), the minerals associate with it etc. If you do not want to get a series of speculations I recommend you to disclose as much as you avail of yourself on the sample and the environment of formation.

The formation is mainly argillaceous carbonate and the fauna contain Druzy Cement (Flugel, 2010). The magnification is 4X lens.

Dear Dr. Idan,
to be honest there are still too many unknowns to solve the equation. Argillaceous material mixed up with carbonate minerals can be found far off the coast in deep marine basins but also near the coast in restricted platform sediments.Druzy or equant calcite cement can be a sign for freshwater phreatic regimes but you must precisely look at the cement in context with the allochems. I can only suggest to reduce the unknowns with the techniques of which you can avail yourself. I do not dare to speculate any further.

even if I am not a micropaleontologist I cast doubts on providing a clearcut statement on the fossiliferous material (?). In my opinion any further discussion based on the existing database will not come close to a solution and ends in poking around in the fog.
You must broaden your database. That is the key element.

it might be an Early Cretaceous (probably Lower Albian) benthic foraminifera , it is well known in Turkey, Iran & Golf of mexico, there was many species of Voloshinoides (here an example from Golf of mexico: https://www.academia.edu/10700148/Voloshinoides_sonorensis_n._sp._Cretaceous_benthic_foraminifera_A_potential_lower_Albian_marker_of_shallow-water_carbonates_in_northern_Mexico?auto=download
I am not a micropaleontologist, but owing to my cooperation with micropaleontologists I think it is difficult to provide any statement like that based on one slide only. I know that some of my colleagues even made several thin sections giving an insight into the internal parts of the test and looked at these fossils from different angles.
I would recommend again to broaden the inorganic and organic database of the environment.

As you know that Yamama Formation is the basinal part of the Berriasian-Aptian subcycle according to Buday, 1980, p.111. Voloshinoides sonorensis Schlagintweit & Scott is a shallow-water carbonate foraminifer, while the algal species Clypiena jurassica Faver indicates the Tithonian.

Difficult to judge from this detail..but looks like some kind of bacinellid fabric.

I am not sure about the micritized fragments, probably they have algal affinity, but the bigger fragment filled with sparatic cement, probably is bryozoa, since the pores inside it a bit look like zoarium of a bryozoa.
