If anybody got three basic needs of life- food, garments and a shelter, s/he may feel satisfied in his/ her position in life.
But if anybody try to search persons who are able to spending more money to bring luxury in life and to get such lifestyle anyway, s/he have to run in this race upto the last day of life. The target will be changed continuously.
S/he will never be satisfied in anything in life and will never get peace even for a single moment in life.
A person performing his desired task ethically, living happily without hurting anybody is really living a quality life. One must think about what he/she is doing rather what others are doing.
Quality of life can have two possibilities: abstract and concrete. The abstract is related to particular and cerebral situations, very peculiar to each being in isolation. Some people are content to have health and peace. Others only with small interpersonal joys, representing examples of particular, individualized quality of life. The concrete condition is associated with the social convention of domain of consumer goods and status in any context. In this context the quality of life is represented by the criteria that others ratify. The question is very instigating and can generate many interesting answers.
Thanks a lot Dr. Ashok for sharing this important question,
The quality of life depends and is based on the most important needs necessary for decent living in order to ensure its competence, freedom and respect. This requires the following things: the right food, the comfortable home, the work that is the reason for the material income, the rest of the complementary things of the comforts and social relations successful and above all the most important factor Which is safety and living in peace.
Good morning Dear Prof. Ashok Pundir and other RG colleagues and happy new month yo us all. Quality of life as I would like to say is the qualitative and moderate availability of essential life requirement: good health, food, clothing and housing. However, cultural and tradition, religion and nature of individual may affect their desires. What adds to the basic requirements depend on individual. In all, what we actually need is contentment and heart of praise to who has given us the opportunity as human to desire for our wants. Thanks.
Quality of life is a very elusive term, and includes the set of values that you have grown up with or learnt to appreciate at some stage. Some people prefer to keep the values that they were raised under and others are open to new values in the societies that they integrate into. When one attains the life in which they have all they learnt to aspire for before then they consider themselves living a high quality life. Religious people want to hear sermons and praises of God. If they get that, they consider themselves living quality life
Thank you dear Dr Ashok for this stimulating question
Quality of life (QOL) is the general well-being of individuals and societies, outlining negative and positive features of life. It observes life satisfaction, including everything from physical health, family, education, employment, wealth, safety, security to freedom, religious beliefs, and the environment.
One can look at quality of life in the context of Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs. The basic needs are at the bottom of Maslow's pyramid, for example security, safety, human needs of food, clothing and shelter, etc. A person some of whose needs at the bottom of the pyramid are not met will have a relatively low quality of life but it largely depends on the person's outlook in life. There have been a lot of people particularly in developing countries who have not witnessed the glitter of a rich person's wealth and conveniences, yet are content with what little they have. By definition a person who has met all the needs all the way to the top of Maslow's pyramid namely self-actualization, by definition, should have the highest quality of life in comparison. These folks are ready to achieve their full potential in life via their creativity and independence. Quality of life is highly relative. Those who are greedy will always be complaining of how poor their quality of life is no matter how rich they are. Those who are content will be satisfied with the quality of their life. Thus quality of life in a way relates to how happy a person is. We should all learn from the experiences of the people in the Kingdom of Bhutan where the highest emphasis is placed on happiness.
In my opinion, quality of life is not possible without good health. In this highly competitive modern world, people are running after money to live a quality life, but during this process due to excess stress they often become victim of chronic diseases such as anxiety, depression, hypertension, diabetes and cardiac disorders. Living life with these disorders definitely affects the quality of life.
The quality of life is a multidimensional and relative concept that varies from person to person in terms of theory and practice according to the criteria people adopt to evaluate life and its demands, which are often influenced by many factors that control the determinants of quality of life.
The quality of life reflects the perceptions of society members of their place in life, in both the culture and the value system in which they live, in relation to their goals, expectations, levels and interests. By having the basic necessities of life, by being satisfied with important aspects of life in the lives of individuals, and by achieving high levels of personal pleasure and achievement.
The quality of life standards for a person are largely determined by the limitations of the place where the person lives. It changes for every human being.
For me the quality of life means... They can feel happy and greatfulness in their heart ... You can buy house but not happy... You can have money but not happy ... Quality means happiness after mindset changing
Each individual has a hazy target he or she is aimimg for called quality of life. If it is ever grasped or reached, the individual may gain a better view to determine if it is actually what the individual wants.
Very good contributions to the question been raised. quality of life can also be a life that have a focus and achievable goal which will not put someone in unnecessary pressure which can leads someone into what he/she is not suppose to do. more importantly quality life is the life that can affect other peoples life positively
Quality of life means that you can access everything you want including good educational institutions which give a decent quality of learning . Also the availability of a respected health sector in which you can be treated well.
Above of that is the security level can be measured as one of the life quality due to importance of security in eliminating crimes and making life safe and secure.
I believe that the individual's sense of satisfaction and happiness and ability to satisfy his needs through the richness of the environment and the best services provided to him in the areas of health, social, educational and psychological with good management of time and benefit from it ...This meant the quality of life, I believe
