Despite the low recorded cases, African countries are projected to be the most hit by this pandemic. The continent's already fragile nature in terms of economic growth, development, and well-being makes it even more vulnerable. The continent needs to catch-up fast to mitigate the hang-over of COVID 19.
What do you think are the most relevant policy options for African governments post COVID 19?
The most relevant policy options for African governments post COVID 19 and also now-a-day it´s to increase the socio-economic status of African countries, also the sanitary conditions and health systems in all-over the continent. I know this is a difficult solution but is the perdurable one, not only for COVID-19 present today but also for the next future epidemic diseases. Several global institutions like WHO and some other countries can also collaborate with this aim. To find a solution in this sense is mandatory for the Humanity.

Healthy hygiene practices are something that requires a lot of attention in most African countries
Hygiene is learned from childhood, transmitted from home education. COVID -19 only heightened people's fear of dying. Those who have not had the habit of maintaining hygiene since childhood will find it difficult to learn it.
1. Pandemic Control is an opportunity to apply for opportunistic funding. It ticks a lot of boxes. Immediate impact, saves lives, promotes public health, keeps borders open, enables the continuation of tourism which may be threatened otherwise.
2. Creates the justification for increased internal allocation of funding for public health measures within countries.
3. Creates the opportunity for co-operation between countries on pandemic control.
4. May stimulate indigenous industries catering for the needs of pandemic control. PPE production, quarantine facilities, barrier nursing services, nurse training, oxygen production.
Emerging policies should focus on drastic concentration development in sectors that especially faced the limiting hold of this current extreme event i.e. COVID 19. Enhancement should start from the health and agricultural sectors.
I should see workable policies on building adaptive capacities and risk management with lessons drawn from COVID 19
Policies should focus on making Africa a home of all that have informed our over reliance on the other continents.
Those who think withdrawing from the global structure are more emotional. The cosmos is structure in a way that individual country and continent should work it ways in order to benefit from it. COVID 19 should have teach Africans a hard lesson that will change their policy paradigm.
Based on individual African country natural reality the following be arranged in order of important to her:
1. all African countries should reduce or stop borrowing i.e. external in order to look inward. When borrowing it should be developmental and ensure that the purpose which is borrowed is achieved.
2. reduced in political officer holder and administrative cost/spending.
3. increase the educational budget and education should include vocational once.
4. revive and equip medical sector.
5. making good agricultural policy.
6. social distant and lock down were not implemented in many Africans countries due to lack of established welfare framework. Welfare framework should be created in countries that have not and re-structure were there is.
7. Followers center leadership is required for these and many more to be put in place.
I honestly don't think the Coronavirus Pandemic has taught Africa a lot of lessons if any at all. Or better still, it remains to be seen it the continent would learn from it's experience dealing with the Coronavirus. The West most definitely would.
Policy formulation and implementation should focus on building human capital, ensuring food self sufficiency, infrastructural development, and increasing access to affordable quality health and education.

I am not convinced that Africa has low cases. The recorded cases may be low, but how do they determine these recorded cases. Are people coming forward to be tested where there are test kits? are people self medicating. As far as l am concerned, we do not need anymore policies in Africa. We are forever formulating policies that are not followed or are abandoned before inception. African leaders need to stop embezzling funds meant to develop their countries, they need to act humane by providing essential services for their citizens. The money is in Africa, the resources are in Africa but we lack humane managers and leaders who are capable of doing the right thing.
I am of a view that the Covid 19 is yet to hit the continent very badly, for example in SA the Province of the EC has never complied to the lockdown regulations even on first 21 days, and now cases are increasing and spreading to all parts of the province. People must be made aware that this fungus is here to stay and they must consider changing how they live. and people who are SASSA Beneficiaries must be responsible and willing to use available infrastructure to receive their grants, payment days are becoming the biggest contributor to the increase of covid cases
Policy? Economic or social or political?
Economic policy must focus on emancipating the poor. Glaring inequalities were revealed by the pandemic. Countries esp African, showed that they cannot sustain themselves hence continue depending on the western world for sustenance despite the former being well endowed with natural resources. African cooperation and unity is imperative if the perennial quagmire of underdevelopment is to curtailed
In order to limit and slow down the development of the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) coronavirus pandemic, countries in Africa should draw on the experience of other countries, including, inter alia, the implementation of anti-pandemic and sanitary safety instruments (e.g. wearing face masks, home quarantine, restrictions in the movement of citizens in public places, etc.). Other countries should help African countries to develop, implement and improve these anti-pandemic and sanitary safety instruments. International cooperation should also be developed in the field of scientific research on the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and determinants of the development of the pandemic in individual regions of the world.
