Absolutely it shows the competency of the author and his ability to work without team work, but I think it does not refer to good paper, good paper depends on the topic itself and to the theortical or practical perocedure that followed by the auther
Design and execution of research problem with a single person.
In my opinion, if one, can complete a paper on its own, can be single author and it shows the competency of the author. Yes, single author paper good for the field and the researcher, and there is no problem if resercher has authority on the field.
I think it is normal and can contribute a lot to the advancement of knowledge.
That is awesome and difficult, may be possible for a heard working person.
Yes a single paper author it's good for the author himself but from my opinion a several and real team work authors are more valuable for the paper itself and for subject they discuss. Thank you
I believe that the community is made up of interactions between individuals and their environment. Research disciplines are communities and individuals, e.g. sole authors, are a component of those communities. Therefore, several authors could make perfect and integrated research.
Of course, single-author papers could inspire multi-author debate, new research, and new collaborations that advance the field of research. However, it takes a long time & one thought in writing.
