We found this fossil or not in the field so I am not sure about the fossil. We just think that it may be a fossil record. Do you have any idea about this?

scars on an elongated axis arranged according two spirals, a left-hand one and a right hand one, this might be a plant part, like a decorticated leafy branch.
Could you please where it comes from and what is the geological age ?

I appreciate your support. We found it in the Pontides rocks and the age of the formation is the Ypresian- Lutetian. I have one more question about the Stigmaria. What is the age range of this fossil?
oh, this is Tertiary stuff!
I also had something like Stigmaria in mind, however the sediment does not look that old.
A rhizom of an aquatic plant Nuphar-like is thus much more probable.
