I wanted to calculate the short circuit capacity of IEEE 16 bus system to see the impact of some compensating device and distributed Generation connected to grid (IEEE 16 bus system)
In my knowledge there is no standard IEEE 16 bus system. It may be 14, 30, 57, 118 and 300 bus system for transmission system and 13, 34, 37 and 123 bus system for distribution system. The links are available below;

For short circuit calculation, it is required to follow Zbus matrix approach. The details procedures are available online at NPTEL lecture series "Computer Aided Power System Analysis" chapter 4 "analysis of faulted power system".

thanks for uploading your answer ,The IEEE -16 bus system comes in the category of Distribution not in transmission system ,in below uploaded paper you can find this ,and i have gone through your uploaded lecture ,there is no calculation is given for calculating short circuit current capacity ,although there is modelling of impedance matrix . I want to include short circuit index for my research site/network .
