Hello, everybody,

I am curious about your view on current IT trends and their adoption in companies. From your point of view, what could be differences between the adoption of big data (or AI, smart services, ...) in comparison to past IT trends, such as as ERP systems (or EDI, CRM, ...)?

In my opinion, current IT trends differ by the fact that there are often various technological possibilities to implement e.g. big data applications. These possiblities can hardly be overlooked by companies. At the same time, these are often available at low cost (e.g. in cloud environments as "big data services"). Moreover, it's seems that the adoption of technological innovations are more strongly demanded by customers and employees. Simultaneously, a fear of disruption in companies seems noticeable.

What are your thoughts on this?

I am looking forward reading from you.

Regards

Christian
