In former labs, I used Biosemi and Gtec USBamp to measure skin conductance. Since I don't have the budget for these devices in the moment, I am looking for an alternative that produces data in similar quality. I would like to analyze the data offline, so it should offer an export function in some Matlab-readable format. Furthermore, it would be a practical feature to introduce markers via TTL pulses or similar methods to synchronize the recording in at least the second-range to a stimulation protocol. Out of the box, there are some wireless EDA systems that I can think of, like the shimmer http://www.shimmersensing.com/shop/shimmer3 . On the other hand, if you have a *really* tight budget, these days it's becoming increasingly easy to build your own system using an arduino paired with some simple hardware modules, using some software like processing (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Processing_(programming_language)) to record the data. Thanks David, I indeed found the Shimmer technology a good alternative for EDA measurement. I also am considering to build a system, as you suggested. There is actually the Bitalino, which comes with dedicated hardware and software for a very competitive price: http://store.bitalino.com - though including the software, the system is more expensive than the shimmer system.
