I prefer to use the Joanna Briggs Institute's suite of appraisal tools but can't seem to find one that quite "fits" for the paper I'm hoping evaluate for a systematic review. I would say the tool for analytical cross-sectional studies is the closest but I'm unsure if it is valid to use this if all data used in the study are from medical records. Any help would be much appreciated.
