Theoretically, if I wanted to determine the concentration of BP-3 in salmon found at a specific region of the ocean, what could I use as a control to compare the results to?
The issue is that I believe all salmon in all regions of the world have been subjected to some level of BP-3 already, so it it would be impossible to have a "pure" tissue sample with no BP-3 present.
My suggestion is that I could theoretically raise several generations of salmon in a lab in waters that do not have BP-3 so that the levels of BP-3 accumulating in the tissue is 0. And this could serve as my control so that I can compare this to the levels of BP-3 I find in wild salmon.
Does this seem like a viable idea? Any other suggestions?
