- There is both residential and industrial expansion that may have an impact on the riverine regime of the catchment including water quality.
- There is also currently an effort being made by the local sector to regulate the water flow (mainly the flood during the main rainy season) for irrigation purposes to enhance the agricultural productivity in that area.
- Hence, it calls to research the WFE nexus to come up with a better synergy between the health of the ecosystem and development.
