While I was a PhD student I was listening to my supervisor about the place of publication. Well, I had an opinion and some things I sent abroad, but a little. But he advised me as required by the law.

It is necessary that the article, which contain a citation to your work, would appear on the RG. Thus, it depends only on the authors of the this article. You can not place this article yourself.

Sometimes the system does not report citations even on uploaded articles. I have a citate on an article that has been uploaded to RG but has not yet been reported. Sometimes, perhaps, it takes more time for system reporting.

Sometimes this happens if the text is loaded as a graphic file (for example, scanned printed pages, even as pdf), then the system does not recognize the citations, because it cannot convert these into text.

I've read some where that RG doesn't accept to add your own citations !!!

It was accepted (in the previous criteria for academic growth) articles in thematic journals to be evaluated with more points. These journals are currently in Cyrillic , on paper, and are not indexed anywhere.

It will be indexed automatically (just wait a bit, it takes some time), provided the paper that cited your work is added by their authors to the RG pool as well.

The algorithm for adding citations to your research profile is automatic. Researchgate has searching mechanisms for finding citations related to its members. It may take some time, but it works effectively.

The details of the authors, volume, issue, page numbers and follow the style of the Journal you want to submit your paper in writing your reference.
