I am working on a paper on the dimensions of modern cars. Basically it looks at measurements used for transport infrastructure design. As a part of this work I would like to collect examples of "design vehicle" dimensions from different countries. I would be grateful for any examples people could send me.

For vehicles deisgned to circulate in Romania, you could find the answers contacting Registrul Auto Roman (www.rarom.ro).
Indian vehicle dimensions change as per choices of people & purpose of using it.
Here all provided space is used to its maximum level.
Also if we consider roads it is preferred to be compact.
We qualified our local vehicles (South Africa) against the SAE and SABS standards.
A good site to research for the US is AASHTO...also CT allowable axle loads..this info often varies by state in the US. There is 1974 Federal legislation governing axle loads on Interstate Highways. Take a look at State Motor Vehicle Department vehicle standards. ie New York State, Montana, California, Texas.
Thanks very much for all the suggestions so far. Perhaps I should explain my research is based (a) on the idea that there is more to car dimensions for infrastructure design than may be realised; and (b) on the hypothesis that some at least of the design vehicle dimensions recommended by government bodies are not really suitable. I have a first draft paper for (a).
