In recent days Polymer Modified Concrete is the major point of research. I would like to know the different types of polymer combinations used in concrete to form a bonding nature between the materials. I would also like to know the type of monomers and activators that are available in the market. mostly thermoplastic or thermosetting polymers which is used in concrete?
Standard polymer fibers for concrete are polypropylene and nylon. Polypropylene are fibers have better mechanical, but worse thermal performance compared to nylon.
Thank you Oleg Nizhnik, What are the other polymers that are used such as in geopolymers there exsists a bonding nature, and usage of sodium hydroxide as a gelling agent will it improve my bond between them
Polyeter resins are frequently used in polymer concretes as a binder. isocyanate/water glass based grouts are used for injection.
