I am willing to persure my higher research work by combining the the fields of Wireless Sensor Network and Artificial Intelligence. Any sort of advise will be really helpful.
I am not very familiar with WSN but I have seen some papers addressing WSN problems through AI techniques (i.e. shorest path..etc). I believe WSN is highly influenced by AI and reading a review paper in WSN will definitely help.
Googling "wsn ai" shows this as first result http://cdn.intechopen.com/pdfs/12444/InTech-Artificial_intelligence_for_wireless_sensor_networks_enhancement.pdf
Besides routing, othe problem in WSN is eelction of coordinators. Coordinators are special nodes in the WSN with additional management duties. How to detect fast that a coordinator has become unavailable, and choose fast a replacement. The optimal selection of coordinators is a graph problem (independent set, I think) with relation to AI.
I suggest you u read this survey paper http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/login.jsp?tp=&arnumber=5473889&url=http%3A%2F%2Fieeexplore.ieee.org%2Fxpls%2Fabs_all.jsp%3Farnumber%3D5473889
Shaboddin thank you for your suggestion but I was targeting to combime the Artificial Intelligence field along with under water sensor nodes where different clustering algorithms can be created for network efficiency.
