What are the reasons that led to the failure of the closed system used in fish breeding in most Arab and foreign countries?
The reasons of the failure in Arab countries are:
- The high technicality of the system which requires important knowledge, a perfect mastery and a lot of rigor on the part of fish farming communities;
- the lack of adequate training and sensitization on this model of fish farming;
- The lack of control that has generated very high costs, low productivity and uncompetitive cost prices.

The closed-system can be used for the artificial breeding of both confined breeder and flowing-water breeder. However, the main consideration to be taken is what type of fish are you going to breed? Whether it is warm-water or cold-water fish. Further, whether it is a carp or trout? Furthermore, whether it is exotic to your country or indigenous. Poor water quality, excessive feeding, species of fish bred could be the reasons for the failure

Major problem may be the degrading water quality over the time. Lack of maintanace of filters and hindrance of maintaning of ammonia and other harmful chemical componants in water make the problem serious.
One of the main problems facing the closed regime in the country of Iraq in particular and the Arab world in general are:
1 - The closed system was manufactured to raise salmon, not carp
2. In Iraq, carp fish are raised in the closed system with high density
3 - deterioration of water quality and lack of follow-up mechanical and biological filters and control the work well
4 - Lack of knowledge of educators from the administrative point of view
5. Do not discharge the water and filter it at its proper or specified time
6 - the economic cost of the closed system compared with other systems and lower costs of production of fish at prices
